ACTA CIP Petition Reminder

June 19, 2016 | By

Dear Arlington Tennis Enthusiast,

Reminder, we encourage everyone to attend in person the CIP (Capital Improvement Plan) Public Hearing this Wednesday evening, June 22 at 7 PM at the County Board room at 2100 Clarendon Blvd, 3rd Floor.  We feel that a strong showing by ACTA members at this hearing will illustrate to County Board members that there is strong support for tennis among the voters.  Pass along this email to anyone else that might be interested!

Do you think that more needs to be done to ensure that Arlington’s public tennis courts are in playable condition?  If you do, please consider this:  Arlington’s County Manager has recently come out with a Proposed Capital Improvement Plan (“CIP”) for FY2017-FY2026.  While the Proposed CIP includes some resources for improving tennis courts, ACTA believes that the draft plan is insufficient to meet the demand for good courts.  That is why ACTA has taken the initiative to speak out in favor of renovating tennis courts sooner than what is proposed in the CIP.  Please consider signing this petition that endorses ACTA’s efforts to provide additional County resources for tennis courts:
